Making the situation of older LGTBI people visible is crucial in today's society since they face double vulnerability due to their sexual orientation or gender identity and their age. For decades, they lived in a context of discrimination and persecution, and although advances in civil rights have allowed them greater authenticity, old age can lead to a return to the closet out of fear of discrimination.
